Overview

Torque Kings ("the Game", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile drag racing game available on the Apple App Store. It features single-player progression as well as optional online 1v1 head-to-head races against other players, with an in-game (virtual) currency. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you play Torque Kings.

By creating an account and using the Game, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use advertising networks or third-party tracking SDKs, and the Game involves no real-money gambling — all wagering uses virtual in-game currency only. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Torque Kings experience.

Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data when you register and play Torque Kings:

Email Address
Collected during account registration. Used to identify your account and enable save-game sync across devices.
Username / Display Name
The name you choose when setting up your profile. Displayed on the in-game leaderboard.
Game Progress & Save Data
Your cars, upgrades, garage inventory, currency, completed races, and overall progression are stored to enable cross-device save sync.
Leaderboard Scores
Race times, quarter-mile results, and competitive rankings associated with your username, visible to other players.
User Account ID
A unique identifier automatically assigned by our authentication system to link your account data securely.
Authentication Timestamps
Date and time of account creation and last sign-in, retained for security and fraud prevention purposes.
Virtual Currency Balance
Your in-game money balance (and any amount escrowed for an active 1v1 match) is stored server-side so wagers in online races are settled fairly. This is virtual currency with no real-world monetary value.
Online Match Data
When you play an online 1v1 race we store the participants, the chosen car (id and name), the wager amount, race distance, finish times, the winner, and match timestamps.
Push Notification Token
If you grant notification permission, we store your device's Expo push token so we can alert you to incoming race invites. You can revoke this anytime in your device settings.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, precise location, payment information, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising identifiers. We do not store persistent device hardware identifiers; the app only checks whether it is running on a physical device (versus a simulator) to determine push-notification eligibility.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

Account Authentication
To verify your identity and securely log you in across sessions and devices.
Cloud Save & Sync
To store and restore your game progress so your garage, upgrades, and achievements are never lost.
Leaderboard Features
To display your race times and rankings alongside other players in the competitive leaderboard.
Online Matchmaking & Settlement
To set up 1v1 races between you and an opponent you invite by username, escrow the virtual-currency wager, and pay out the result fairly to the winner.
Race Invite Notifications
To send you a push notification when another player invites you to a race, if you have enabled notifications.
Security & Integrity
To detect and prevent unauthorized access, cheating, or abuse of the game systems.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Game.

Online Multiplayer & Virtual Currency

Torque Kings offers optional online 1v1 races. You start a match by inviting another player using their username, and both players stake an amount of virtual in-game currency. The staked amount is held in escrow until the race finishes, then awarded to the winner (or refunded on a tie or if the match is cancelled).

The currency used for races is virtual and has no real-world monetary value. It cannot be purchased with, exchanged for, or withdrawn as real money. Torque Kings is not a gambling or real-money gaming product.

When you take part in an online race, the following information is visible to your opponent for that match: your username, the car you race with (name), your finish time, and the match outcome. This is the minimum needed to run a head-to-head race and is not shared with anyone outside that match.

Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, we register your device with the Expo push service and store the resulting push token on your profile. We use it only to notify you when another player invites you to a 1v1 race. Tapping the notification opens the corresponding invite in the Game.

Notifications are optional. You can decline the permission prompt, or turn notifications off at any time in your device's system settings; the Game remains fully playable without them.

Data Storage & Security

All account and game data is stored using Supabase, a secure backend-as-a-service platform. Data is stored on servers located in the Asia Pacific region and is protected by industry-standard encryption both in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.

Supabase implements row-level security (RLS) policies, meaning each user can only access their own data. No user can read another user's save data or account details.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

Torque Kings uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Supabase – Authentication, database, and real-time data services. Supabase Privacy Policy
  • Expo (Expo Application Services) – Delivers push notifications for race invites. When notifications are enabled, your push token and the invite message are sent through Expo's push service. Expo Privacy Policy
  • Apple App Store – Distribution platform. Governed by Apple's privacy terms, which we do not control.

We do not integrate any advertising networks, analytics SDKs, social media SDKs, or crash reporting tools that collect personally identifiable information. The Game contains no advertising or cross-app tracking mechanisms and does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission.

Data Retention

Your account data and game progress are retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all associated data including your email, username, save data, and leaderboard entries will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Correction
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Deletion
Request that we delete your account and all associated data.
Right to Portability
Request a structured, machine-readable copy of your data.
Right to Object
Object to certain processing of your data where applicable.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account.

Children's Privacy

Torque Kings is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us immediately and we will delete the account and associated data promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of the Game after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
